Anyway, Crawford Casino, a popular attraction located in the prestigious Mayfair neighborhood of central London, has rounded the last circle and thrown the last dice after more than 195 years of operation, the Daily Mail reported.

The legendary £80 million Mayfair casino site is currently awaiting owners’ decisions about the future. Since about 100 people were employed at casinos, they are now reportedly facing layoffs or a move to other casinos within the Genting Group. According to sources, Paul Wilcock, president of Genting Casino UK, said Crawford’s closure was “the end of an era.”

“The combination of factors that have put luxury London casinos competitively at a disadvantage compared to other world markets has led to Crawford’s unsustainable future in Mayfair,” he was quoted as saying.
