From “Curry was Curry” era rivalry to gold medal collaboration… LeBron’s view of Curry’s Paris Olympics

“It was an unbelievable moment.”

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers appeared on “GoJo and Golic” on Feb. 21 to talk about playing in the Paris Olympics with Steph Curry.

LeBron James and Steph Curry have been two of the NBA’s most publicized superstars since the 2010s. Their teams have faced each other four times in the Finals alone, and LeBron and Curry are icons of their era and the 토토사이트 추천 biggest rivalry of all time.

In that sense, it was significant that they would compete side-by-side for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics. LeBron and Curry, who had only met as opponents in the All-Star Game, could only have imagined playing together on a serious team.

The prospect of a Dream Team led by LeBron and Curry thrilled basketball fans around the world. While not quite as dominant as they have been in the past, the United States was still a formidable force and went undefeated in Paris.

For Curry in particular, it was his first Olympic Games. Curry, who has accomplished almost everything he can in the NBA but has never won an Olympic gold medal, quenched his thirst by competing in Paris. “The best moment of my life was winning the Paris Olympics,” he said after the Games.

Even though Curry struggled early on in the tournament, failing to keep his shot under control, LeBron never doubted his ability. He knew that at some point, Curry would explode. Curry responded to his teammates’ faith by exploding in the quarterfinals against Serbia and the final against France.

“We talked a lot with him about this being his first Olympics,” LeBron said. He’s played in world championships before, but this was a new thing for him. I knew Curry was going to come out with an onslaught. I was expecting it to come at some point,” he said.

“I kept telling him to shoot threes. We saw his onslaught in the semifinals against Serbia and in the final against the hosts, France. Curry did the same thing he’s always done. It was an unbelievable moment and I was happy to be a part of it,” he said.

The Dream Team’s performance in Paris will not soon be forgotten by fans and the players themselves. LeBron and Curry will now return to their respective organizations to focus on preparations for the 2024-2025 season, with the Lakers opening the regular season against Minnesota and Golden State hosting Portland.
