Over the course of more than five years, a group of businessmen and top government officials from around the world broke ground on the $3.4 billion Bahama resort in Cable Beach in the Bahamas last week.
“It’s been a long way. It’s been a path of challenging turnaround and satisfactory turnaround,” he said. “There have been some detractors along the way, but we’ve never doubted the viability of this unique prospect. Those who doubted would have been talking about other projects.”
Hundreds of people attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the casino resort, including the Bahamas’ Deputy Prime Minister T. Brent Symonette and Tourism and Aviation Minister Vincent Vanderpool.
Also present were representatives of two Chinese companies that helped revive the project when Harra’s (now Caesars) pulled out in 2008. 스포츠토토
China State Construction Engineering Corporation, the largest construction company in China, will be the main contractor for Baha Mar. The Export-Import Bank of China, which is also a state-owned company, will be the main financial institution for the project.
“The Bahamas should be a milestone between mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the Bahamas,” said Li Luogu, president and chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China.
