Construction Of Giant Bahamas Casino Resort Begins

Over the course of more than five years, a group of businessmen and top government officials from around the world broke ground on the $3.4 billion Bahama resort in Cable Beach in the Bahamas last week.

China State Construction Engineering Corporation, the largest construction company in China, will be the main contractor for Baha Mar. The Export-Import Bank of China, which is also a state-owned company, will be the main financial institution for the project.

“The Bahamas should be a milestone between mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the Bahamas,” said Li Luogu, president and chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China.
