Taho Casino Reopens After Caldore Fire Forced Closure

Taho Lake Casino began reopening to the public last week after a devastating Caldor fire disrupted gaming and hotel operations. Caesars Entertainment on Wednesday announced plans to reopen Haras and Harvis, two Taho Lake properties on the state line. Haras reopened hotel operations to the public on Wednesday. Slot machines were also planned to reopen at the resort on Wednesday evening and table games on Thursday. 바카라

“We are excited to resume operations at Harah’s and Harveys Lake Tahoe,” said Karie L. Hall, the hotel’s senior vice president and general manager, in a statement. “We are very grateful to the firefighters and first responders who continue to work tirelessly to keep South Lake Tahoe and the Stateline area safe while fighting the Caldor fire. We also thank our dedicated team members for allowing our property to accommodate many crew members during such a difficult time. As we resume operations at Harah’s and Harveys, we look forward to welcoming guests and all of our team members back to both properties.”

Hard Rock Lake Tahoe, managed by Las Vegas-based Paragon Gaming, reopened to guests Tuesday night. The building is still used as a command center and will continue to provide food to firefighters and emergency workers, a company spokesperson said in a statement.

“The safety of our team members and guests has always been and continues to be our top priority. We look forward to reopening our doors as it is safe to do so. This reopening would not have been possible without the tireless, resilient work of our firefighters, first responders, and the support of everyone on the sideline,” said Tim Tretton, Mont Bloe’s vice president and general manager, in a statement posted on the resort’s website.

Huge wildfires have burned more than 215,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada since they erupted in El Dorado County on Aug. 14. Thousands have fled lakes south of Taho under mandatory evacuation orders as the blazes edged closer to the resort area before things improved as the huge blaze, which burned for more than three weeks late last week, finally began to slow down.
