Harrah’s New Orleans Casino Upgrade

Harrah’s New Orleans Casino announced on Wednesday that it plans to build a second hotel on its existing site on Canal Street in New Orleans. The addition of the facility will aim to meet Harrah’s growing demand for accommodation.

The Times-Picayune reports that the hotel will have 340 luxury rooms and will be built on top of the existing hotel in Hara, which opened in 2006. The new facility will aim to attract leisure visitors rather than convention and business activities.

Gambling owners will need approval from local officials and state legislatures to build a planned 24-story hotel on the New Orleans site. The hotel has previously invested $350 million by Harrah to upgrade its facilities.

In addition to 340 rooms, the new hotel will also include 20,000 square feet of event facilities, a rooftop swimming pool and bar, a gym, and a spa.

Harrah’s also plans to upgrade its existing facilities and add new facilities to its casino site. Once the plan is approved, new food and beverage and entertainment options are available. The addition of the 35,000-square-foot Fillmore Theatre music venue will be included in the expansion effort. The facility is planned to be located on the second floor of the casino. New Orleans officials have been calling for an extension of the theater for years.

There will also be improvements in appearance, such as replacing current signboards with digital marks and signboards and upgrading landscaping.

According to preliminary forecasts, the addition of the new hotel and other upgrades to Harrah’s could result in around $13 million in various payments to the state, including $1 million in gambling taxes.

The construction of the hotel and the rest of the new facilities is expected to create about 600 temporary employment. Analysts believe the completion of the hotel and casino complex will create 500 new full-time jobs. 슬롯머신

Officials at Harrah told local media that the project is still in its infancy and more details will be available later this year. It is also important to note that legislation on the proposed expansion should be presented to the state legislature. One work is likely to be assumed in late 2018. According to local media, Louisiana House of Representatives Speaker Taylor Barruss had previously suggested that such a bill could be sponsored.

In addition to the planned expansion at the hotel and casino sites, Harrah’s will seek to extend casino contracts beyond 2024, which is due to expire. The operator will also consider lifting existing restrictions on food services at the casino floor.

Another amendment is expected to be called on the second floor of the casino, where the Fillmore Theater is located, to allow individuals under the age of 21. Currently, Harrah’s casino floor is only accessible to people over 21.
