DraftKings Out in front of Massachusetts

DraftKings had a strong month at $323.6 million, up 19.7% from February’s figure of $269.8 million. Taxable gaming revenue was $22.7 million.

DraftKings was well ahead of FanDuel, which received $119.4 million in bets and generated $15.2 million in revenue during March.

BetMGM, which has a $45.5 million asset, followed by ESPN Bet and Caesars Sportsbook, which placed them in the top five with $34.4 million and $25.2 million, respectively. Meanwhile, Fanatics received $23.7 million in bets during March.

Of the three track and field venues offering sports betting, Plainidge Park Casino received $5.6 million in bets, while Encore Boston Harbor and MGM Springfield posted $500,000 and $1.6 million on the sports betting handle, respectively.

Total gaming revenue (GGR) at the three casinos in the state for the month of March was $111.1 million, up 10.4% from $106.6 million in February.

Encore Boston Harbor led the way with $70.4 million in table and slot GGR, while MGM Springfield earned $25.2 million. Plainidge Park Casino led the way at a GGR of $15.4 million.

So far, casino operations have contributed about $1.7 billion in taxes to the state since the three facilities opened.
