Caesars Entertainment Fires 90% Of U.S. Workforce

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency, the Caesars Entertainment Company’s properties have been temporarily closed under the direction of governments or tribes around the world.

Because of uncertainty about the length of property closures across the network, Caesars is temporarily moving to the minimum number of people needed to maintain basic operations. The company has temporarily laid off its employees as it is under orders to close its properties. The furlough is expected to affect about 90 percent of the nation’s owned properties, as well as company employees. Those who are furloughed remain employees of the company during the furlough.

“When we consider property closures, we are taking difficult but necessary steps to protect the company’s financial position and ability to recover when things reopen and allow guests and employees to welcome back into our property,” said Tony Rodio, CEO of Caesars Entertainment. “The company has entered this crisis with strong operational performance, which, along with the actions we are taking now, is critical to our company’s future.” 안전놀이터

As part of the effort, Caesars is taking steps to support its team members through the impact of these challenging actions. The company is paying employees who are furloughed during the first two weeks of the furlough period, and those employees can then take advantage of the paid leave available. For furloughed employees enrolled in Caesars’ health benefits plan, the company may pay 100 percent of their health insurance premiums by June 30 or return to work faster.
