The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education announced on the 10th that 19 student athletes from the province will participate as representatives of the Republic of Korea in the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games.
By sport, there are 2 biathletes, 5 bobsleigh/skeleton athletes, 2 luge athletes, 1 alpine skier, 3 cross-country skiers, 2 freestyle skiers, 1 snowboarder, and 1 3-on-3 ice hockey athlete.Among them, bobsled and skeleton athlete Jae-hwan So (Sangji Daegwallyeong High School) and luger Kim Bo-geun (Sangji Daegwallyeong High School) are considered promising prize winners.
In particular, Kim Bo-geun was selected as a member of the national luge team, following in the footsteps of his older brother, who is a member of the national luge team.Kim Ki-hyun, head of the Future Sports and Special Education Department, said, “In order to host a successful competition, the Provincial Office of Education plans to cheer on student athletes at the Gangneung Situation 스포츠토토존 Room and support students, faculty, and parents watching the competition.”
