Legendary Uruguayan international forward Edinson Cavani has ended his association with Valencia CF.
The club announced the news of the player’s departure through their official channels on Monday afternoon (ET).
The Uruguayan star striker, who was part of the Luis 토토 Suarez era, went on to play for top clubs including Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Manchester United.
He moved to Valencia in 2022 and scored seven goals and two assists in 28 games. At 36, he’s not exactly old, but he’s burning his last candle and keeping his pride alive.
“We would like to publicly thank Cavani for his professionalism and wish him the best of luck for the rest of his career,” Valencia said in a farewell statement.
Outside of Europe and Valencia, Cavani continues to play. He has been linked with a move to Argentine side Boca Juniors.
