Ohtani’s private life report → paparazzi controversy → media photo deletion uproar “fans are furious”

An expatriate of a Taiwanese media outlet accidentally reported a photo of Shohei Ohtani (LA Dodgers) attending a private meeting, which made a big headlines.

On the 18th (Korea time), reporter Hanslin, a resident of LA of Taiwan’s Central News Agency, published an article with the photo, saying, “When Wang Sungfei, a Taiwanese living in the United States, went to Balboa Island in Newport Beach to enjoy the famous Christmas lights and marine yacht parade, he accidentally found an interpreter and took a picture of Ohtani’s dog and reported it.”

The Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach, California, which marks the 115th anniversary this year, is one of the year-end festivals attracting tourists. A Taiwanese who reported the photo said, “There was something strange about seeing passers-by on the street looking at the balcony of a house on the second floor, and Ohtani was sitting there holding his dog.” Interpreter Itpay Mizuhara and agent Nez Valero were there, too. The photo shows Ohtani holding his dog Deco Pin and talking with people in comfortable clothes. According to U.S. media, Ohtani is known to live in Newport Beach. He is expected to have been invited to a nearby acquaintance’s house to watch the yacht parade.

However, as the balcony was open and tourists flocked to see the parade, Ohtani’s appearance at a private meeting was exposed. Since Ohtani usually has few paparazzi and private photos have not been released at all, the media’s report became a hot topic in Taiwan and Japan. After the parade, Ohtani and his party reportedly said goodbye to the person who appeared to be the owner of the house. 온라인경마

Fans were negative about the photo. They filmed a private scene. Japan’s Lonspo reported that although the photo was taken by chance, fans are furious to stop infringing on Shohei’s privacy.

In fact, reporter Hanslin, who wrote the article and shared the link on social media, was strongly criticized by readers. “Otani has become a subject of media pursuit even after signing a contract,” and “If you want to upload personal photos, you need to get permission from Ohtani.”

Eventually, reporter Hanslin deleted the post that posted the link on social media, and only the article on Taiwan’s Central News Agency website has no photo left.
