Mikoski Casino & Resort Opens Smoking Room and Bar

Currently, Florida has two federally recognized Native American tribes, the Seminole Tribe and the Mycoskie Tribe. In 1990, the Mycoskie Tribe entered the gambling sector after opening the Mycoskie Indian Bingo Hall. Smokers at hotel casinos previously enjoyed a separate space for activities indoors. Earlier this month, the Mycoskie tribe announced plans to expand its exclusive smoking area inside the casino. The expansion of the casino area will allow more smokers to light their cigarettes indoors while enjoying gambling activities.

Tobacco-loving visitors will be able to enjoy a modern pool bar with four 75-inch HD TVs. Eight bar-top slot machines will be available, and another 117 slots will ensure special gambling entertainment for customers in new and exclusive smoking areas.

Thanks to a state-of-the-art air filtration system, the new smoking area will ensure the comfort of guests. The equipment will help preserve the air quality of non-smoking areas in and around the area, ensuring an equally enjoyable experience for both smokers and non-smokers.

The casino’s expanded smoking area will provide a 20-foot-tall ceiling and will be located in the northwest corner of the Mikoski Casino & Resort. A new bathroom will open for the expanded smoking area and nearby non-smoking corridors.

Smoking Lounge to Open This Summer
Mycoskie Casino & Resort offers 20 live-action poker tables and more than 1,800 modern slots. The casino resort also offers a bingo area and 24/7 entertainment. In addition to gaming amenities, the venue offers a variety of fine dining options as well as luxury hotel suites. The Mycoskie Tribe’s hotel casino is located at 500 SW 177 Ave.

Brad Rhines, general manager of Mikoski Casino & Resort, explained that the venue is still focused on meeting customer needs and enjoys collecting feedback from guests. He said many visitors to the casino resort have emphasized the need for new indoor smoking areas.
