Bae Jun-ho scores debut goal on A-League debut…the future of South Korean football is bright

‘King of Stoke City’ Bae Junho scored his debut goal on his A-match debut.

Kim Do-hoon’s South Korea national soccer team cruised to a 7-0 victory over Singapore on Saturday (June 6) at the Singapore National Stadium in Singapore in their FIFA Confederations Cup North America 2026 Asia Second Qualifying Group C match.

The victory punched South Korea’s ticket to the third round of qualifying regardless of the outcome of their home match against China. It was the first 7-0 win over Singapore since the 1990 Beijing Asian Games.

It was a big day for the Korean soccer team, with a goal and three assists from Juri Kane, multi-goal performances from Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in, and a wedge from Hwang Hee-chan.

Not to be overlooked was Bae Joon-ho, who scored his debut goal in his A-match debut to prove he is the next ace of Korean soccer.

Bae was the ace of Stoke City in the English Championship (second division) in the 2023-24 season. He was the national team’s ace at the U-20 World Cup and chose Stoke City as a preliminary step to the big leagues.

Since joining Stoke City, Bae has been an instant king. He made 38 appearances, scored two goals and provided five assists, and established himself as an undisputed starter.

He was not to be overlooked by Kim Do-hoon, who selected him for the upcoming matches against Singapore and China and gave him his A-match debut.

Bae Junho came on for Lee Jae-sung in the 70th minute of the second 먹튀검증 half with the score at 5-0 and immediately had a chance to score. He made a nice move to receive a cross from Uhm Won-sang shortly after coming on, but the Singapore defense was strong enough to prevent him from scoring.

In the 73rd minute, he showed great dribbling and individual skill to break down the Singapore left side of the defense. Although it didn’t lead to a goal, it showed the dribbling ability of Bae Junho.

Eventually, in the 79th minute, Bae scored his debut goal. Park Seung-wook, who was also making his A-Match debut, delivered a precise pass to Bae Jun-ho, who penetrated into the box and fired an accurate and powerful shot to open the scoring for Singapore.

It was a perfect start for Bae Jun-ho, who is considered the next ace of South Korea. He proved himself to be the man to lead South Korea in the post-Son Heung-min era alongside Lee Kang-in.

Even better, we’ll get to see him play for his country again soon. He’ll be looking to score again in the final match of the second qualifying round against China at the Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul on June 11th.
