The Bill would allow local university teams to bet

File number 271 will also allow bets on community college teams that were previously banned. However, lawmakers in Connecticut have decided to ban college players from betting on props amid calls for a nationwide ban on such products.

The change comes after the UConn Huskies recently won March Madness. It also takes into account the fact that all neighboring states allow bets to University of Connecticut teams. 온라인경마

The bill could cause some confusion because it is very similar to the bill in Massachusetts and only allows bets to be placed on University of Connecticut teams playing in tournaments. These matches must include at least four intercollegiate teams and bets must be based on the results of all games.

Representative Vincent Candelora recently spoke on the issue, suggesting Connecticut should first tighten its safeties before adding new betting laws. He justified his claim by pointing to a recent suspicious betting incident. However, Representative Matt Ritter noted that regulators had succeeded in identifying previous cases, which meant current measures were effective.

File number 271 replaces House Bill 5284. The bill has passed the committee and will be discussed in the House of Representatives.
