Malaysia-based slot machine supplier RGB International Bhd said fully owned Macau (RGB) Ltd has signed a deal with FIRM 614 Co Ltd to distribute gaming equipment in Cambodia. RGB International said in its announcement on Friday that it signed on Aug. 8.
Under the agreement, Macau (RGB) will act as “an exclusive agent to support the import, sale and distribution of all kinds of gaming equipment and/or commercial gaming software to game operators” of FIRM 614, licensed by the Cambodian Commercial Gambling Management Board (CGMC), the country’s casino regulator.
FIRM 614 is described in this release as a company “approved and registered by CGMC to import, sell and distribute all game equipment and/or commercial game software, as well as to provide consulting services and to prepare all kinds of documents related to the commercial game industry.”
The signing ceremony was presided over by CGMC’s deputy secretary general, Siessen, RGB International said.
The gaming supplier said the agreement with FIRM 614 is expected to “positively contribute” to the group’s revenue. 토토사이트 모음
RGB International posted Q1 profit for shareholders, up 120.8% Y/Y to 22.2 million MYR (currently US$5.1 million).
Cambodia currently has 184 licensed gaming venues, according to a recent report by the Phnom Penh Post, which cites information from the Cambodian gaming regulator.
According to the report, 100 of the 184 licensed gaming venues are located in Cambodia’s coastal areas, including Mount Bokor in Kampat, 48 in provinces bordering Thailand, and 35 on the border with Vietnam.
The country’s capital, Phnom Penh, also has a naga world casino resort. The complex, run by Hong Kong-listed Nagakov, holds a longevity exclusive casino license in Phnom Penh.
Earlier this year, RGB International said it had signed a deal to supply a total of 1,968 slot machines from Pagcor, a Philippine regulator and casino operator..
