Palacho to make its long-awaited debut in Las Vegas

This is the phrase Rob Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino, used to describe his company’s new $1.9 billion resort in Las Vegas, as well as the splendor and beauty that was on display for the hotel’s grand opening last week.

Along with his wife, Miriam, Las Vegas Sands president Sheldon Adelson started the event Thursday night with a ceremonial flipping of a giant gold switch, which kicked off a weekend filled with spectacular music, lighting, and fireworks, and special events. Guests such as Hillary Swonk, Mandy Moore, James Denton, Rebecca Romain, and Jerry O’Connell were treated to everything from the Diana Ross concert to private dinners cooked by the likes of Emmeril Lagase, Wolfgang Puck, and Mario Batali.

With 3,000 expanded suites, the 50-story Palazzo Las Vegas has literally taken luxury to a new level. Palazzo is now the tallest hotel tower in Las Vegas, and in combination with its sister next door, Venetic Resort, the two properties feature more than 7,000 suites. Palazzo, The Venetic, and Sands Expo and Convention Center are also the largest indoor structures in the world at present at 19 million square feet. 슬롯머신

“[Las Vegas] is the entertainment capital of the world, so that’s the expression of every statement that this is the biggest resort that has ever been built,” said Las Vegas Sands president and CEO William Widner. “In a town with the biggest resort in the world, it’s really exciting to be the biggest resort. Las Vegas is our home base. As much as we build in places like Asia, and as much as we develop in places like Singapore, it’s still cool to come home and offer this kind of entertainment to people all over the world as well as to people in the United States.”

Highlighted by 85,000-square-foot flagship Barneys New York, The Palazzo’s The Shoppes features more than 60 luxury boutiques. The Shoppes opened to the public on Friday. It features mall esplanade and a two-story waterfall below the glass aisle. In addition to Barneys New York, 20 stores and luxury brands are making their Las Vegas debuts at The Palazzo. These include Chloe, Tory Burch, Christian Louboutin, Diane Von Furstenberg, Van Cleef & Arpels, Anya Hindmarch, Poleci, Lambertson Truex, Philip Chariol, Edi, Edi, Piaget, and Michael Kors.

In addition, The Palazzo offers a variety of dishes from award-winning chefs, such as Mario Batali’s Carne Vino, Wolfgang Puck’s CUT, Emeril Lagasse’s Table 10, and Charlie Trotter’s Restaurant Charlie.

“Sheldon came out on top again,” Puck said with a big smile at the opening. “It’s a beautiful hotel. I think it’s amazing. I think it’ll be an amazing destination to be here with some of the best chefs in the world. You basically have the best restaurants in the world on the first floor.”

Saturday evening’s grand opening celebration finale featured performers from Ross, Seals, Andy Garcia, Cineson All-Stars and Wayne Brady-hosted concerts, Luminary and Legend, as well as the Jersey Boys cast debuting at The Palazzo this spring. The 65,000-square-foot new Canyon Ranch Spa Club and Lamborghini exhibition halls, gift shops, and cafes will soon open, with two new exciting night club venues set up in the coming months. Palazo is also home to the Las Vegas version of the 40/40 Club Sports Bar and Lounge – the brain of music mogul Jay-Z – the Grand Lux Cafe overnight.

The Palazzo’s suite starts at $199 per night and features a sunken living room decorated with a distinctively modern European design.

“People are telling us it’s the best property they’ve ever seen,” added Adelson, who owns and operates The Venetian Macao in China, the world’s second-largest building with 18 restaurants and a 3,000-room hotel. “In many ways, The Palacho’s opening represents the completion of a vision that began with The Venetian’s construction. For our guests, it offers new experiences and opportunities to enjoy all of the best dining, shopping, accommodation, and entertainment in the world under one roof.”
