Noh Ho-young (Osan GS) and Kim Yoo-jin (Ansan TA) topped the men’s and women’s titles at the 67th Jangho Hongjong Munbae Junior Tennis Tournament. Noh Ho-young defeated Lee Woong-bi (Seo Incheon High School) 2-0 (6-3 6-0) in the men’s singles final on the final day of the tournament at Myeongji Indoor Court in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, on 15 May .In the women’s final, Kim Yoo-jin defeated Choi On-yu (Ansan TA) 2-0 (6-2 7-6<7-2>).Noh Ho-young and Kim Yoo-jin won the Jang Ho-bae title for the second year in a row. The tournament was founded in 1957 by the late Jang Ho Hong Jong-moon, who served as president of the Korean Tennis Association in the 1960s and 1970s, to foster and support outstanding junior players .Sixteen players of both sexes are invited to compete in a tournament to determine the winner based on their performance in domestic and international tournaments and the Korean junior rankings. The winner receives $5,000 (approximately 6.6 million won) for travel expenses to compete overseas, and the runner-up receives $3,000.South Korean players such as Jeong Hyun in 2014 and Kwon Soon-woo in 2015 have won the tournament, while women’s players such as Jeon Mi-ra (1993-1994), Cho Yoon-jung (1996) and Han Na-rae (2008-2009) have also reached the top.
