Orelvis Martinez, one of the top prospects of the Toronto Blue Jays, has been suspended after being caught touching a banned substance.
The MLB Secretariat announced on Monday that Martinez will be banned from 80 games. The reason is taking banned substances. Martinez explained the situation in his statement, which was released through MLB players’ union. Martinez admitted his mistake, saying, “I believed the doctor told me there were no dangerous substances.
